The 4Bs Biodiversity Initiative is part of Re-Betchworth Charity's work to mitigate the effects of climate change and create a greener, more biodiverse and sustainable local environment.

Our goal is to increase and improve habitats for wildlife and enhance biodiversity across the parishes of Betchworth, Buckland, Brockham and the neighbourhood of Boxhill.

Our vision is for the 4Bs community to work together, to protect and enhance existing habitats and create new habitats for wildlife, to support our Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

With financial support from our Parish Councils and the Betchworth & Buckland Society, our volunteers provide a programme of educational, research and practical activities to deliver our vision.

Our Vision

A Community Partnership with Nature

A healthy planet can only be achieved by the committed and coordinated efforts of whole communities working with organisations and associations that have important roles in managing and caring for nature and the environment. Inspired by this vision, the 4Bs Biodiversity Initiative aims to  nurture and facilitate conversations and actions aimed at achieving the vision for a landscape rich in habitats
for wildlife, where biodiversity is protected, nourished and enhanced by the communities who live here.
